My dad is immature

Since yesterday night I’m scared because there’s a lot of wind

I said that and my parents said I act like a kid

It’s really mean to say that

My dad accepted to accompany me at work today , but on the way he was having fun saying “There’s a lot of wind”, “I will fly away(because of wind)”

I said to him to stop, that it’s not funny and he kept doing that

Outside I started to scream at him and cry

It’s really not funny, I told him I have an anxiety disorder and that I’m probably oversensitive and it’s why I’m scared of wind

I used all my courage to go outside even though I was scared and he was mocking me

Oh, that does sound like anxiety or that he was provoking you a little like poking you causing you go react.

I think he was provoking me on purpose

Last time he had fun jumping in an elevator and cable car and scaring people even though they said to stop

I don’t want to take the elevator with him anymore because of that

And my mom don’t want to take a cable car with him anymore

He has no sympathy for other’s anxiety and tries to cure them through exposure therapy i guess.

He had anxiety because he was scared he would die at some time, but it’s like if you don’t have the same anxiety than him he doesn’t understand and then doesn’t respect your anxiety

I wish I could be that relaxed/laid back about problems and others problems. it’d definitely give me breathing space

He’s being disrespectful mostly

You can be relaxed about other issues and still respect boundaries, aknowledge other issues

maybe he was just trying to make a joke of it, make light of it,

try and help you laugh about it with him instead of getting upset,

I had to drive on the highway. There were bulletins about over 55 miles per hour wind. Then it went up to over 90. There were trucks rolled over.

The thing is I said to him at least 4 times to stop, that it’s not funny and he didn’t stop saying that kind of things until I cried

He should have stopped after the second time I said stop
