Essay on Post Energy Scarcity.

This is the direction of idea making i’ll be taking for the next two weeks I think. A preprint discussing the post energy scarcity economics ideas that i have!

This will be my enjoyable habit/interest for now :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

AI is so confusing. What is the singularity etc.

Everyone seems to be waiting for it.

that’s not what the thread is about

Oh okay, sorry.

I feel cold and disinterested too. Motivation zapped, part of me believes I’ll never make it into academia which has stopped the creativity I was using to start the intention to write up on the topic :-1: not a good start

The topic has only one main challenge. And that’s central banking and banks too. They are the only people who would opposed universal energy adoption. Feels like a bleak thing to argue against because mainstream economists love and are are in kahoots with bankers

Doing stuff with my wife, my cats, going with wife to feed various stray cats in the neighborhood, quilting, diamond painting, learning to watercolor paint. I just don’t have enough motivation to do things though. But those are my main interests.

I don’t reckon there will be post scarcity, even after free energy. The capitalsits won’t allow for it. The hierachy and funneling to the top will be what the elite who will own the ‘free’ energy want; and ensure a population of wage slaves.

This is humanity. This is what primates do…

I agree, there will be energy post scarcity but things like manpower and knowledge will still be scarce

@FreeLunch your post is highly inappropriate, please be civil

I’m sorry I lost my temper

In China they are expecting to complete the build for a reactor by 2027, that’s next year! In Britain we’re expecting to only start by 2030; we have one called JET already but the spearhead programme is called STEP and isn’t expected till the 2030’s

Oooh what happened

Oh whatever the future projection above is super pessimistic and it pissed me off and I got a little bit aggressive
