NIghtmares and quitting cigarettes

I have been waking up with nightmares consistently for a week and half or so now. It freaking sucks. I thought I had finally rid myself of them, but they are back again.

Stress related, no doubt.

Hopefully ditching the job that was hard on me physically will help.

Unfortunately ditching the job brings a new source of stress with it. Finances.

We have a fair reserve in the bank but we have 2 mortgages(and an association fee) to pay for every month. This really puts us in a vice. We are going to have to clamp down.

Which gets me to the second part of my title. I am now going to have to quit cigarettes completely instead of one here and there, because they are just too darn expensive.

Of course, this also adds stress.

I guess most things have their up and downsides.

Thats my update. Take it for what you will.

Thanks for reading.

GOing to apply for energy assistance Monday.

Maybe you could do like a DoorDash or Uber eats delivery gig until you get a job? Sometimes my friend makes 20$ an hour with doordash

I actually had considered DoorDash @Rainstorm . Good suggestion. I do not want to do it in the current weather , though, so would have to wait a few weeks.

you ought to chew nicotine gum…that’s how I stopped…it’s expensive but not as expensive as cigs.

YEs, thanks @77nick77 . I had remembered your previous post about that and looked them up. They are closed for the weekend, though. Will deal with Monday.

I got $350 towards my energy costs. You may get more or less.

Do it. The first three weeks are hell. Then it gets easier.
