Oh boy, a $40 mistake

I got an email from Uber Eats a month ago saying they’ve given me $20 in Uber cash to buy restaurant food. I decided to use it tonight and a pizza sounded good so I clicked on Dominos and bought a pizza I checked out but a notice came saying the restaurant was out of my area. So I ordered a pizza from Mountain Mikes. $42. And it said I had $0 Uber Cash. I knew it was a really bad idea but I checked out and paid the $42. After all, I only have pizza about once a year.

Almost literally the minute after I paid the $42 at Mountain Mikes a guy from Dominos showed up at the door with an X-large Pizza. So I tried to cancel Mountain Mikes but it was too late, I had one X-large pizza and one medium pizza. It was too much pizza, I kept the Dominos and gave the $42 pizza to the neighbor lady. She’s poorer than me and she was so grateful she gave me a kiss on my cheek, lol! So I did my good deed for the day and ate my pizza. The Dominos was only $9 and it stung paying $42 for a pizza I didn’t eat.

I know it sucks to lose money but that’s a gold star good deed!

We had a mountain mikes near us when i lived in Cali, I would get a large pie with both types of pepperoni on it (flat and curly)

yeah, I’d be a bit upset by that as well, its a lot of money,

incidentally, I am sharing a pizza with my neighbour tonight as its her birthday soon, got her a car and a little gift too.

The actual pizza was $29 which is still expensive but then there was a $7 ‘service fee’ and the delivery fee and the drivers tip.

Well now you know what’s going on. That’s really nice you gave your neighbor a pizza. I don’t think you should have been liable for the Domino’s Pizza though. I think they should at least give you a partial refund.
