Something happened today with the old forum. It was loading fine, but sometime this afternoon (eastern time) it wouldn’t load. I tried multiple browsers and multiple devices.

The funny things is we would probably still be there if the admin had talked to discourse before announcing that he was quitting the site. But fate wanted it different.
Luckily Bowens has created this good sucsessor.

That song was actually written as a bitter song about love. I know they used it on Seinfeld but Seinfeld used it wrong. It’s often misunderstood.

I stand corrected: Billie Joe Armstrong does say it’s a bitter song but he also says he can see how people can think of it as a hopeful song about valuing good memories. @Catman

R.I.P old forum. Wouldnt have met all you great people if it wasnt for the the previous forum. We do have something good going on here now. The community lives on.

Yes, it looks like the entire site, not just the forum, is gone. More pressure to keep this place goiing now.
I honestly didnt think discourse’s good will was going to last forever and the forum would stay up for good with no cash coming in but it is a surprise, I suppose, that the whole thing is gone now.

Hit the old site in late 1999 on my journey into psychosis. It’s like places in real life. Yeah you get a vibe on cities but places are made better from the people and the adventures you have there…
Yeah it’s only the internet but it’s the same sort of thing and old site had it’s problems. Always pissed it took way too long to get peer moderators and the damage done by those who weren’t really tarnished it’s ride. Anyways. It’s nice to see some folk here who I know…and it’s sad it had to shut but maybe it’s time.

I miss some memories from there
Ninjastar and moonbeam were great.
It was also wen i was dating some fu ked up ass but he has a sensirive heart once in a blue moon.
Weird how worst relationships can b associated wid some good memories
