@SzSupportAdmin - I still think we should keep this new forum up. You never know, the old forum could still be gone eventually.
This forum will stay up. Its been paid for by donations and will remain up as long as it needs to be here. I guess we can always have 2.

I’m not suggesting we end this forum but the reason the other forum closed was because of less people using it and if we take all the traffic away from it and bring it here it seems like that will put the final nail in the coffin of the original forum.

this forum is paid for for almost a year now. I cant just take the money and walk away. I also already paid for the website and domain for a year. Its going to have to remain up. There really isnt an alternative.
Ask them if they will reduce this site’s hosting costs to zero as the community has moved here.

An undetermined amount of time could mean a month or years, and we could very well be going through the same thing by May.

I agree. We dont even know how long discourse is going to give them a break. We could end up right back in this position in 3 months. I am not starting from scratch.

I have a very good idea of how many of the user accounts there are fake sockpuppet accounts set up by a troll. I was not allowed to clean them out. I walked. There’s no way you’ll ever get me back over there even if I’m no longer a mod. I will never feel safe posting there again. Suggest avoiding.
The administration over here is much better because the Admin here looks at things more than twice a year rather than being an absentee landlord.
All I’ve got to say.
Thanks @shutterbug . Yeah, we are for sure staying up. Even if I wanted to close, I have no way of returning the funds. It would be way out of line for me to just walk away at this point.
We also have the private members section which makes this place unique in this way.
