Btw. I had thought @moonbeam had agreed with me and ninja about archiving the forum and linking here….but it appears they prefer to shut it down completely. My bad on this, as I brought up yesterday, I thought we were in agreement on that recommendation. I think i saw them “like” some posts at the end of the discussion and assumed we all agreed.
Sometimes its hard to interpret texts and “likes” I guess.
Anyway, it looks like Szadmin wants the two options on the extreme end. Which are either to shut it down completely or keep it as an active forum. So those appear to be the choices.

Just want to say that no matter which way people vote, its no skin off my nose. Either way this forum will remain up.
If the old forum goes down this forum will probably become even more robust, which is good.
On the other hand:
If the other forum stays up and people were to move back, it just means less work for me here.
So either way is fine with me. Vote whatever you feel is best.
I was actually a fan of the middle ground where we archived the old site until it goes down and linked here, but it looks like szadmin is not including that option in the choices.
I just wish a decision would be made for sure so I knew what to expect. It will likely be weeks again after the poll before the final decision is made.
I still do not have much faith in the old forum staying up for the long term. They are riding out a “free coupon” from discourse to keep the lights on now.
I will keep helping moderate this forum and will not moderate on the old forum at any point. I’m pleased with management here and hopes management is pleased with me in return.

I feel like if the site here got any larger we would really need more moderators.
Probably so. We will do what we need to do. We just lost one so…you know…back to the drawing board and all.
I voted to shut it down.
I like more frequent admin involvement here, and even if it slows down it’s nice to see admin chime in once in a while, even if it’s just for quality of love updates and current forum state.

Didn’t vote. Logged in by accident. Want no part of that dumpster fire ever again.
Voted to part ways with the old forum and use this one for good. I think pretty much everyone has migrated over and a migration back seems a bit much.
@SzSupportAdmin have you considered making it so the link for the old forum would redirect here? Might be a good option if that one gets taken down.
That domain name is extremely high value and will go from low to mid five figures. Whoever buys it will not be pointing it here.

Ninja and I had hoped that we could keep the old forum up as long as discourses goodwill holds out so we could keep the old database and redirect here, but for whatever reason, Szadmin didnt list that as an option. Shame. Wouldve been the best of both worlds.
Out of the 2 options left, I am ok with whatever happens. One way is more members and the other way is less work. (Less file deletions, less moderation, etc). So it works both ways for me. I just wish a decision would be made so I know what to expect.
