I’m assuming that discourse is still hosting the forum ‘remains’ for free and that it is only down because it uses a url through the websites domain. So I would imagine both. But I am not always very good at this technical internet stuff and may misunderstand.

When I was off meds I heard a bird that sounded like a baby crying it was creepy as hell but it was just psychosis

If you mean this one, it will as long as people want it.
If you mean the old one, I dont know what the plan is. I dont know if he plans to leave it as a basically dead forum with only the old posts, or if he plans to try to revive it.

I guess I’m hoping sz support sites in general don’t close down. I don’t know what the plans for the old forum are, but if everyone didn’t migrate because szadmin spoke too soon it would still be active.

Well, one or the other will be open for sure, if not both. This site will only shut down if most members decide it should.
I would be willing to concede operation of this site and let people move back to schizophrenia.com forums instead without leaving this site up as a competitor if thats truly what most want.
My only concern would be that operation of that forum has been erratic for a number of years now. With it shutting down for periods and then us being told that it was shutting down permanently.
I would hate to shut this site down and then have the other one collapse as well.
Then we would have to restart this forum again to try to prevent a total loss.
Anywho, this forum is not going anywhere unless the bulk of members decide thats what they want.

I cant remember exactly when but it went into read only mode for awhile a few years back now because of non payment. I cant remember if it totally went down or if it just stayed in read only mode. I only remember that we could no longer post there.

Anyway, alot of us panicked and thought it was the end. THen Szadmin talked about moving it to a new host.

It’s really no skin off my nose if people were to decide thats what they wanted, though.
But I am committed to keeping this site open as long as members want it. IF they were to choose to go back the original, I would not try to fight it.
But I dont totally trust it to stay open. And in a year I, or someone else, might have to do the same process of setting up a website, setting up a forum, getting financing set up, moving everyone again, Etc.
So, it would not be something I would do lightly. Plus we have a reserve of funds we would have to use up. I suppose I could always give it to szadmin to help his hosting costs if he would accept it.
