Panic attacks I think

I couldn’t breath last night without a painful jabbing sensation from my heart

Took me about 20 mins to be able to take deep breathes

Thought I was going to die

Still had it a bit this morning but no where near as bad

Damn sorry to hear that man. Worth asking your doc about I think. Could be a side effect of some med or something you know what I mean. They’ll know what it is for sure and what to do about it.

Last time it happened they tested my heart and tropanin and found nothing on it

Tried to get help but they did an echo or something and then never followed up

Oh ok hmmm, so you think it was a panic attack? Maybe doing some research about your symptoms can help. It does sound like one to me but I’m no doc lol

You smoke right? Or am I thinking about a different forum member? Since you smoke id get your heart get checked out, just to be safe. Im no doctor, but id say it was probably a panic attack and you’re fine. Smoking can cause heart issues even in young people though.

Definitely a panic attack. When I’m in a panic attack I can’t breathe and I get a slight pain in my chest. Went to the doctor about it and they told me it was just a panic attack so they prescribed me propranolol.

I take Vortioxetine for anxiety

A while back I halved my dose

Refused propalonal

Won’t take my diazepam

So it is kinda my fault

Should I tell the psychiatrist?

I would. Medications make me feel a lot better. I used to have insomnia because of my panic attacks.

I hate insomnia

Think the cause is trying to keep up with studying and work

That may be it. Just talk to your doctor and they will give you proper treatment. Propranolol helps me a lot but sometimes gives me nightmares.

don’t think my nightmares could get worse than they are

Is this the med that’s a heart med? If that’s the case I said no for that reason

It prevents your heart rate from going too fast, which is one of the reasons they prescribed it. My heart rate is normal now.

That’s good to know

My smart watch constantly alarms for over 120 bpm sitting still for 10 mins

I really like propranolol. It works very well.

Have you been consuming more caffeine lately than normal? If so, too much caffeine can cause what you experienced. Also, every brand of energy drink has different ingredients, so that’s something to keep in mind.

Caffeine itself is not acidic, but coffee is acidic. If you drink coffee too close to bedtime it can cause acid reflux because you’re prone. If you do drink coffee in the evening (even early evening), have some food with it.

Just some things to rule in or out.

You can go to your primary dr and request an electrocardiogram. They’re quick, painless, and affordable. And that would detect if further testing is needed.
