Psych wards in Uk getting a lot worse, keep reading on bbc news of patients killing other patients. The patients are more concentrated in severity and staying in longer. They only section someone if their extremely severe now so its worse than it used to be

The psych ward I stayed at has an easy going people ward and a dangerous person ward. I always stayed on the easy going ward. I heard horror stories of the other ward from nurses.

Wow, it’s scary
Not been sectioned or been in a secure ward for 11 years now thankfully. Those places seriously make me worse. Instead there is a halfway house up the road i goto, like a care home if i lose the plot.
I have an aversion to all hospitals psych or otherwise lol.
Yeah i got punched once while in one. Round here there are never any beds anyway, so its rare they would bang me up.

yeah, the way they like to treat people is in their own home, sometimes that is not the best choice for someone though esp if you are unable to manage and support yourself. you really need to be a complete risk to yourself or others to be hospitalised.

It’s been 8 years since I’ve been in one here in Virginia. They used to let you smoke, I bet that’s changed.
I’ve only been in one bad ward. Everybody there was dangerous but some of them were overmedicated zombies. The ward was dirty and dangerous, I was there by mistake and once my parents saw what it was like they pulled some strings to get me out of there after one day. It was scary.
