I’m sorry, @Speedy. I’ve been there, too. I had a huge panic attack about leaving the house while sitting on the bathroom floor (I go in there to hide when I’m bothered/scared). It’s an awful feeling. Do you have a PRN that won’t affect your driving?
I have beta blockers but don’t know if I can take them? Maybe they can’t draw blood while I’m on them?
I don’t know. I think that would depend on what your doctor wants. I take beta blockers and am about to leave for my preadmission testing. It includes a blood draw (CBC, CMP, thyroid, etc). I wasn’t told not to take them. Can you call your doctor real quick?
It’s too late now. I’m going in the morning.
I’ll manage. If I get a panic attack then so be it. I’ll just tell them I’m about to have an attack.
Well I certainly wish you luck with it.
Thanks! I’m sorry you suffer from panic attacks. It sucks.
You should write a book with all the knowledge you have accumulated over the years, i always see you posting about books and i think you could be good at that.
Y’all, my husband is swearing up and down that I won’t lose my job. I think that I was too unreliable. I was the first one to show up 90% of the time, but I also missed a lot of days in the fall, plus two months for unexpected knee surgery with little warning. My boss has discussed the upcoming fall plans with some of the other teachers, but she hasn’t said a word to me. I’m not brave enough to ask outright. We have a staff meeting next week, and the people who are resiging at the end of the year will have to turn in their computers. I haven’t been asked to do that yet, but my boss could be waiting until the last day of classes to ensure I won’t skip out on her (which I wouldn’t- I like my students and need the money).
Now I have to wait, and I’m about the least patient person in the world.
Ok? Well, good luck. I hope you don’t lose your job. It’s amazing that you can work. I wish I could also but I can’t.
Don’t worry too much about it. These things usually fall into place.
roast lamb dinner
Thanks, @Speedy! It’s honestly the perfect job for me. It’s 8 hours a week, pays $30/hr which means my pay is decent but it doesn’t hurt my SSDI. Plus my students are fantastic. We got a huge bonus this year, too. It’s an all-around great job.
I’ve never had lamb. What would you compare it to? Or is it in a class of its own?
very light taste and very good for health @Honeysuckle
I think so. Sometimes my dog barks at nothing.
@Loke We joke that one of our dogs just likes to hear her own echo, so she barks in the courtyard where it’s loudest. Seriously, the dog steps foot outside and immediately starts her woofs. She’s a big gal, too, and her bark can be heard three states over, I swear. ![]()
Morning guys, having some coffee
What kind of dog do you have? My dad’s dog is a great Pyrenees. He barks really loud. He’s five months old and weighs 55 pounds already. He could get up to 160 pounds.
