Should I take one more med?

I wanted to do a poll but I can’t (I guess my level is too low)

Question : My psych told me to take one more med for anxiety, but my family disagree with that and told me to keep only taking 2 Risperidone (and not 3 like the psych said)

What should I do?

-Take 3 until I feel less anxious

-Take 3 until the psych say otherwise

-Keep taking 2 and just do relaxing exercises

-Keep taking 2 and go see a sophrologist

What is your psychiatrist reasoning for taking more meds. In my experience more meds did not help me. They did not alleviate my symptoms but came with more side effects. If you’re struggling on your regimen, you might want to ask him to try a different drug. Sometimes one drug works better than another on an individual basis.

My psych want me to take one more med because I’m anxious

The two meds I take is for psychosis (Risperidone)

She said to take another Risperidone because it’s good for anxiety

I don’t have issue like side effects with the medication

I don’t like taking more meds. Maybe take it and you might only need the extra pill short term. You can’t think long term with mental health, things change, stuff pops up. Think short term right now if you’re having problems. We all take pills or have in the past.
