He’s a scientist who does research in the everglades and we connected over my grandmother being a chemist. I like his personality but I’m trying to catch my footing. Would you just ask someone out or be friends first? Plus I don’t know if he has a girlfriend or if what I’m seeing is a mirage. So far I sent him a picture of my frog.

Just worried you might end up disappointed if you enter a friendship and have feelings but it doesn’t work out.
Yeah plus I think he talks to everybody like that so I’m not sure if I’m just delusional. I just caught him on a good day maybe?

Well, if you only talked to him once or twice you might not want to ask him out right away. One conversation doesn’t mean anything, get to know him at least just a little better so you can see a little of what he’s about.

Youcan ask leading questions… do you have a girlfriend?… what do you like to do around town? Things that obviously indicate your curiosity without throwing out the pass/fail carte blanche
