Some infos about my new treatment strategy

Yesterday I went up from 300 mg Seroquel XR to 600 mg XR because I’ve had some serious issues with depression especially up to two weeks after I’ve had my Clopixol depot injection. So I think that the Clopixol is the trouble maker that makes me depressed. So tomorrow I’ll have a talk with my doctor about lowering the Clopixol depot from 400 mg every 3 weeks to 300 mg every 3 weeks. This is the lowest dose I’ve ever had. I suspect that the negative symptoms from the higher dose of Clopixol will get better in one years time.

Has any of you anything to say about my plan

If you speak to your doctor like you say and maybe they can add an antidepressant for your ongoing depression is an option if lowering clopixol doesnt help.

Im on 500mg every 4 weeks and thought about having it every 3 weeks but i increased my AD instead and its helping, good luck @Relaxe

Dear duckey I think that the culprite to my depression is the Clopixol.

Called the doctor and informed about my decision. Because I’m not on a CTO I can decide myself to lower the injection.

i didnt know seroquel helped depression. im proud of you for realizing that the problem was the depot. i take invega depot injection and also take seroquel.

You know Seroquel is approved to managing both poles of bipolar Mania and depression. And add on with an an antidepressant tó treat major depression.

I already feel how that jolly good meds neutralizes my mood. I feel such a relief.
