My stepmother lives alone in a four bedroom house in Sacramento. She has two living rooms, a laundry room with lots of storage space, a two car garage, an attic, two storage sheds in the back yard and an extra storage room she had built on the side of the house. I stored a bunch of boxes in her attic about 15 years ago but she decided she didn’t want them there anymore so I had to have a garage sale at her house and sell all my belongings including ten boxes of books.
Well, she called me yesterday and said an exterminator was spraying for rats and they discovered two more boxes of my belongings in the attic and now she wants me to drive to Sacramento and pick up the boxes. That’s a 2 hour, 45 minute drive. I reluctantly said OK, I would have just had her thrown the boxes out but there are photos of my family and some papers which I suspect are from my high school days that I’d like to have. I was thinking about it now and it irked me that with her huge house she can’t find room for two measly boxes. I’m just venting but don’t you think she is being a little unreasonable making me drive for almost 3 hours to pick up two boxes that she could stick in her attic and then I could get them when I visit at Christmas?
