A mentally ill person in my neighborhood, 60 years old, shot himself in the head.
He had stopped taking his meds. It’s sad.

I will never quit my meds
My uncle had schizophrenia and he said he would commit suicide if his parents got cancer. He wrote a note about being driven mad by voices and shot himself in his heart. That’s why I’d never own a weapon. I can’t tell what’s real from time to time. I think being schizophrenic that eventually we all deal with suicidality. It’s unfortunate when some don’t seek help or they fall through the cracks.
My friend’s brother shot himself in the head. He was dealing with depression I think.
It saddens my heart how so many people take their own lives. So sad. I also know of a few people who did the same - the common denominator being that they abruptly ended their meds. We must continue to take our meds.
the key is never give up………….it passes…………keep going…………..
Same thing happened to a few people I went to school with the last few years. They were younger than me but I don’t think any of them had sz. Maybe just depression or bipolar. Its sad how any mental illness can make things seem that bleak. Both shot themselves.
I have thought about ending my life many times because this horrible illness but nowadays I am pretty numb and passive as it is. Into the end with nothing, I guess.
