TV experiment! I challenge you!

I think i’ll do it till Thursday when the world cup starts.

It has been interesting not watching tv for a couple of days after decades of it everyday,

I played more guitar again today. Moved my music workstation. Meditated. Listened to music.

Thinking of starting an audio book tonight.

I always have the TV on, pretty much. Sports or The Office reruns, usually. Or MeTV Toons (old cartoons). I know I have too much screen time, but I just can’t be alone with my thoughts for too long

Two and half days in. All good!

I am doing more. My guitar playing is rejuvenated and falling back in love with it again.

More meditation, more music and more presence.

Started an audio book but didnt like the story after playing it for an hour. so chucked that…

I have decided that I will only watch in the evenings in the future so I can keep up my mindfulness and do stuff like my instruments during the day.

Good lesson learnt then.

Usually tv says what I’m saying or thinking

Can’t explain it

That is because the wiring in our brains is muddled. The sense of perception is twisted and confused. The notion of predicting the future and present becomes entangled.

It is not a supernatural power or anything. It is just schizophrenia.

I don’t think it’s just schizo.

It’s a mystery, nevertheless

Well, today I’m listening to news on the radio instead of tv. I don’t think I will do a complete fast, but I’m cutting back. Maybe I’ll try to only use the telly in the evening.

That is what I am doing too.

I play my guitar, I play my tabla, I meditate and listen to music instead, rather than just being a couch potato.

It is a wise move.

Did a no tv before 6pm today as well. It’s like you are forced to do something else to occupy the mind. I excersised, went for a walk, listened to music, but I also started reading a bit, which I haven’t done in a long time. Seems good. And the mind is maybe sharper in a way from avoiding visual stimuli.

I am so much more alive.
