Why can't I watch tv shows?

Its weird, I get really weirded out with some very mild tv shows and idk why, its stopping me watching all the really so called good tv of the last 5+ years, why do I get weirded out & upset about that?

Can anyone relate to this?

I don’t even watch tv-shows nowadays, there is just too much of it and it feels pretty meaningless and flat through and through. I try to watch so called serious programs and movies, but even that is a struggle.

I can watch some sports so that’s better than nothing I guess

A common struggle for many of us I think. When watching movies I often need one or two breaks to get through it. It gets exhausting somehow.

same as me, and tv shows are a toxic mine field, why do we get so easily upset about things :frowning:

I feel like I am a bit less interesting bc of this, I can’t chat to people about tv much, just a bit of sport and not the usual football or rugby everyone likes here (I’m not into that either or bloodsports)

anime is ok sometimes, I watched some jujitsu Kaiser and it was ok. also watched a thing called the 7th Prince or something. I’ve only managed to watch these anime a few times.

I’m very picky about what I watch. I’m mostly sticking to dvd media so I avoid commercials and can watch stuff when I like. If something makes me feel off I choose to not continue watching it.

I’m always afraid to watch new TV shows, even though I like a good series. Probably because it’s so hard to find one you like.

I never watch t.v. and it is upsetting because I have a nice t.v.

You know some of us don’t focus very well or just can’t concentrate. I watch Tv all day long. But when the evening arrive I realizes that I don’t remember what I saw. I feel so bad because all that Tv is worthless and not worth wasting your time on. I wish that I had better things to do.

I get that, I think its because its not real a lot of the times sa well, actors playing fake scenarios, so maybe because of this condition and the fact that we need to stay based in reality, maybe that’s got something to do with it,

I wish I could read more tbh, I heard reading a book is a lot more satisfying than watching tv.

I concur on that reading part. I wish I could concentrate, and above all enjoy, reading but it is not in the cards. I used to be quite a reader before I became ill, now it is pretty much a struggle, the joy in it is hard to find. As a consolation at least there is gaming and movies to spend time on.

Same here. Its a struggle to watch a series for me. I think the quality of shows went down in the last 10 years or so too. I’ll get halfway through one and quit. Movies are easier to get through for me. I mainly watch sports and half pay attention to the news now.

I wish I could watch t.v. shows…I just can’t seem to get where I want to watch anything…it would really help kill time but I just can’t for some reason.

When TV reality shifts. That explains things a different way. I might come back and watch it. But I have found over the years. That schizophrenia. And thought patterns. Collide. Making reality impossible to handle. So I avoid all the noise and ruckus. And my life is so much better.
