It was only for a little over half the asking price. I told my wife to not even bother with a counter offer since they arent making serious offer. They arent going to come up many thousands of dollars when they low ball like that. They are just trying to get something for nothing.
Realtor and her wanted to make a counter offer anyway so I agreed to make an offer that was 3 thousand off the asking price.
Potential buyer immediately made some excuse about piping and roof not being able to be insured because of age so they were backing out. The roof was just worked on last year so it was just a pile of crap they came up with.
Knew it was going to be a waste of time.

Probably. And it was a cash offer from someone that my wife’s old neighbor in the condo knew. My wife has hydrocephalus and isnt always great on making decisions like this so I do not doubt for a minute that they were trying to take advantage of her and our desire to get rid of the expense quickly.
They claimed they were going to make it a place to stay when they were in town(they were supposedly from some other state), but I don’t doubt for a minute that they planned to flip it.
