The older I have gotten, the less I read. I have been more noticeably unable to control myself for long durations (lack of stimulation) but I still force myself too. I think after my 40s, I’ll read again assuming the hormones have something to do with my impulsivity

I read “When Bad Things Happen to Good People” by Rabbi Kushner when my little brother was dying from cancer. He died at age 39. I found myself so angry with g-d and the whole world. This book doesn’t fix things but it changes your perspective on the bad things that happen to you and your loved ones. Bad like sz, I think it’s good reading for that too. It is not an overly religious book at all. It just happens to have been written by a Rabbi who lost his son when the boy was a child due to a rare disease.

I live in the US but I took four years of Russian language in high school and a couple classes in college. I graduated high school in 1989•so obviously a long time ago.
