Reading a book. How about you?

I’m reading a book that’s of the horror genre. I just started it. What are you reading? Or what do you like to read? I don’t read horror often. I usually read psychological thrillers. But this is a fun change

I have to listen to audio books :books:. But I’m not really listening :headphone: to anything at the moment.

@Mountain , I totally get it! I used to read tons of different books. Now that my attention isn’t good, I read thrillers to keep my interest.

I recently bought a book called enchanted creatures but I’m struggling to read it, I have to be in a particular mood to read and it doesn’t happen much, my first love is reference books like tarot reading and dream interpretation, I have my vampire core book for my Larp as well, I have some poetry and other things, I bought it bc I read the first chapter and it was good.

Yeah I think i just need to find a book that piques my interest. Was thinking of switching 101 essays that will change the way you think to Meditations by Marcus Aureilius

What’s your favorite vampire book? I’ve only seen vampire themed movies, never read any of those books.

I almost read one but it got a bit weird so I was like nah, I read more of my VTM V20 Core book for my Larp because it tells me the rules and what I can do in the game, I have a really nice Bram Stoker’s Dracula and another with a few short vamp stories, I haven’t read Dracula much. I would like to write my own vampire story though, I think that’d be fun.

Reading a book on Korean cooking, revisiting French for Dummies, and something on bushcraft cooking.

was looking at an app that could help me write a book last night, Ulysses but idk, it didn’t fill me with confidence.

Keep trying it out. I think it’s a great idea!

You’ll get there. Just write some each day and write some more. Even journaling is a good start.

I need help with it though, I was thinking about a night class at college but it depends how I deal with the new job. I think I can do a short course for about £200.

Have an AI tool give you a writing prompt. Write something, and it will evaluate it for you and give good, workable suggestions. That costs nothing.

I’ve been going into the bookshop and they are not a fan of ai books, I did get a good basis for a good story using ai though but I had to be careful, its just a lot of the elements seem to be very comparable with my Larp and that’s all copyrighted, it got around it but I feel like I am copying a lot of their themes and using AI which is not ideal.

AI is no better or worse than fire. You can use it to surivive, create, or destroy. Most of the problems with AI come from the humans who make it or use it. If you choose to use it ethically to better yourself through education, that’s a valid use.

Ai is great. for helping with larp stuff and plot ideas for that, it knows all the rules and makes suggestions, its hard to Learn at the Larp itself as you’re expected to do your own homework & find out from the core book or other gamers but its hard bc they don’t want to give too much away. the core book cost my £100
