I’m reading a book called Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri for a book club I joined. It’s interesting so far. How about you?
I read the Bible all the way through each year…I have a schedule I follow to do it…I read the Old and New Testament at the same time…half way through this year.
also reading the bible most the time just a daily verse and a couple pages of a book
I read a book where elder monks shared their knowledge to others …
New testament too..
I usually juggle a few books at the same time. Kind of a frustrating adhd habit or something. Currently im getting through fight club, the bible, a cool french comic book omnibus called requiem vampire knight.
I have fully read through the new testament of the bible but struggle with the old testament.
Starting the propaganda playbook this weekend. Got one more day to finish my philosophy book. I’ll be done with it tomorrow. Good things.
Wow @AussieSchiz ! You read a lot of different types of books. That’s awesome! I just joined a book club to get myself to branch out a bit
Thats awesome. I have considered joining a book club too. My social anxiety about groups gets in the way though. I enjoy one on one hangs with people but a whole table of like ten people chatting makes my brain overload and i cant function.
To be honest though i have rarely been actually finishing books for a while now. I get half way through one then start another then another lol. Its the same with anything though. Games, interests etc. Bad habit of never completing anything haha.
Book clubs help motivate you to finish them. I get your reservations about meeting with others. Just remember you don’t have to share until you’re comfortable
I’ve been reading “When Einstein Walked With Godel: Excursions to the Edge of Thought” for a second time. Haven’t read it more in a few days though.
Im currently reading self help books but slooowly.
A page here and there.
I love and appreciate them but have difficulties getting in to them.
I want to read Fantasy and Action Adventure like mystical beings and mayve some romance and erotica in there too but i cant find such books.
I devoured Sagan om Isfolket by Margit Sandrmo and also Saga, Idun ,Frrya by Johanne Hildebrandt.
Christian Jaques Ramses book series was read with more speed too.
Maybe one day ill go to library for recommrndations and ask if i feel comfortable.
I read a lot about revolutions
I love psychology books, self improvement books
Recently I’m reading a fairy tale for my bookclub but I have difficulties to read so I don’t know if I will be able to do a review for July
I like books on mental health at the moment. Also drama and thrillers and crime novels. And nutrition and spirituality.
I used to read books when I was younger pre sz. I dont read much besides something factual anymore. I prefer just being entertained with movies or whatever. I do enough reading on here and social media.
It’s kind of a sad fact, I suppose, but thats the truth.
What about the series of books they used to make Game Of Thrones tv series? It’s awesome!!! The series is called A Song of Ice and Fire. The first book is called A Game of Thrones
Thank you for the recomendation.![]()
.Appreciated.
See if i can start reading this series in a year or two.
When i can afford to.
Sounds like just type of stuff i would get in to and enjoy reading.
I’ve just ordered a couple of books on paganism. My latest ordeal has turned my eyes towards spiritually. I realise it’s not allowed to be discussed here and I won’t discuss it but those are just the books I have bought.
Cool. Libraries most likely carry them, they’re really good. Does your country have libraries you can borrow for free from?
