Therapy workbooks, cookbooks, SF, murder mysteries (Rex Stout is my fave author), and thrillers in the style of Ludlum and Clancy. Michael Connolly is my favourite contemporary author. Larry Niven, Ursula K. Le Guin, and Greg Bar are my all time fave SF authors. A nod to Spider Robinson as well (quirky and fun).
Edit: I cannot stand anything by Clive Cussler and the 30 or so of his books around my home are not mine. I swear. [blushes]
I just realized my list was deficient. How does one list favourite authors without mentioning Pratchett and Gaiman? The shame is heavy now. Well, #FKKK. AND Barker.
I read an urban fantasy novel by someone I canāt remember and that I donāt remember the title either, but it was phenomenal and itās always plagued me that I canāt remember what the book is so I canāt reread it. I donāt think I even finished the book.
Oh also do you know Jane lindskold? Sheās a great fantasy writer
Iāve read the first half of the Firekeeper books. I really need to read the rest. Library only had some of them. I have the same issue with this series:
It was kind of mediocre, TBH, but I read the first four books and then never found how it ended. Still, better than Cussler novels. No idea why anyone would read those. [coughs and kicks another Cussler novel under the couch ]
Iām studying philosophy for at least 3 years so Iām invested. I also have books on spirituality, economics, self help, and atheism. I have a book Iām going to read itās the white lab coat guide: itās everything you learned in medical school to be a doctor condensed, I have like 50 books I bought that I still have to read. Today Iām reading the philosophy of Immanuel Kant. Kant is praised by most philosophers as being a quintessential philosopher when it comes to studying ideas. Good things
