From staying out of the psych ward???
In october it will be 8 years. I believe i never been in there for a while because i quit maruijuanna on janurary 2020

I was hospitalized for 8 months in 1982, then I wasn’t hospitalized again until 1989. In 1989 I went in 3 or 4 times for three days apiece. Then I wasn’t hospitalized again until 2015 when I went in for 1 day. So 26 years without going in at one point. And now it’s been 11 years.

I was 17 in 2005
Came off the meds and relapsed and ended up back in hospital
In 2013 however I was not doing drugs

I can’t remember when I was last hospitalized. Maybe 10 years? Give or take a couple years.

At some time I thought about asking to go in one but I was postponing that and when I wanted to go I started to work

It’s been 11.5 years since my last admission.
However, I’m receiving lots of care through the county mental health. For example, I just finished a 1 year intensive therapy program that included multiple appointments every week, homework everyday, and a 24/7 coaching line I could call for help on how to cope with various issues.
It taught me how to deal with issues that come up in life without needing inpatient care etc. It was a game changer for me.

As long as I remain on my current cocktail of meds, I should be good.

It is best not going to the hospital psych ward. It costs an enormous sum to stay there and most of the time your longing for the comfort of your home. Also the food is not good and there is nothing to do.

Since I was diagnosed in 2018 I’ve been in the hospital over 10 times I’ve lost count. Last stay was May of 2025 so we are coming up on a year kinda soon.

That’s rough, Hanna. I’ve had about a dozen psych stays, but mine were scattered over 18 years, 2000-2018. My last stay was for severe depression/SI, in the summer of 2018. These past nearly eight years are the longest I’ve gone without a hospitalization since I started doing time in psych units.
