I don’t believe sz gets better with time.
Maybe the coping techniques get better. Idk
I’m on a gradual decline in cognitive function.
Im undecided atm but I’ve been on a journey with this diagnosis since it was given to me in 2023. At first I thought it was the end of life as I know it. But as time had gone on, I have found that I am able to live life close to what I had before and make friends along the way.
This has given me proof that you can enjoy life despite the symptoms
I do struggle with stuff like concentration and memory issues but I’m getting used to it, with a view to get back to my favourite pastimes of watching films again. I did manage to watch a nice film this month although with breaks, and i still enjoyed it a lot and felt interested enough to see it to the end.
I believe i can work on getting my enthusiasm back
I suspect this is happening to me.
Otherwise I’ve been stable for the best part of a decade. Not getting better or worse.

The improvement was more in me, less in the illness.
My sz gets worse.
But my coping skills get better.
I’m not getting so scared of symptoms as in the past.
In the past, upon having a slight voice, I was terrified and I was calling my pdoc. Now I’m not as sensitive
not sure if I have sz so didn’t answer but I don’t have psychotic symptoms on meds. its gotten better on meds than off.
I think the prevailing theory is that dopamine decreases with age so positive symptoms improve eventually but cognitive functions get worse. Not sure on the negs.
