Anyone enjoy walking?

Hi, I love walking and usually go around my park every day for an hour. I went earlier this morning and this is what it looked like…

I recently checked out a book about walking and how we as humans need it so much. We evolved over millions of years to walk upright and the act of walking slows and resets our stressful minds. I had a shoulder injury in April and I’ve been walking 10k steps a day to offset the injury and to lose weight. I absolutely love walking. I lost the ability to walk in 2014 for 6 months and when I walked again I was so grateful to have the ability back that selling my car and walking everywhere seemed too good an idea to pass up. So here I am 12 years without a car by choice because I wanted to walk everywhere. Walking is the most suitable exercise we were meant to be doing. I can’t say enough about walking. It’s a skill that can be taken from any one of us any day without warning. I do not take walking for granted. I love walking.

I used to take short walks regularly with my Frenchie but now that I’m on my own I’m more cautious of my surroundings and balance issues.

I’ll try to walk my dog out for a walk at least once a day but I feel less paranoid letting him out in my backyard.

He enjoys the backyard better

A lot of mentally ill people are targets out there in public.

Older people are vulnerable too

I’m both so I’m extra cautious.

I just took my dog for a walk in the neighborhood.

Pushed through my paranoia.

So glad I did.

I enjoy walking and should do it more, it is really good activity overall, especially in nature.

I always take a walk every day after lunch.

It’s summer now and I have to put on my clothes from spring because I am lack of energy. I am 50 years old and I am afraid of the lower temperature in early morning or later evening.
