Anyone struggle with low energy and low motivation?
I just want to go to the gym. But so tired.
It’s gotta be the meds. But if I stop them I’ll get into a world of trouble.

I struggle with it. But in my case it’s the disease and not the meds.
Invega gives me more energy.
Oh really @everhopeful
Maybe it’s the schiz doing it to me too. Maybe I shouldn’t blame the meds.
That’s awesome @Mars
I take clozapine and zyprexa. They help me a lot. I just get so tired.
I’m not motivated to do anything too sometimes
Oh no. I’m sorry to hear that @Vaiana
Yeah that’s clozapine alright.
Oh no.
My pdoc is insistent on me staying on clozapine.
Last appointment I told her all the side effects I am getting. But she just said sorry I had them and said that clozapine is the best med for me.
I’d listen to your doctor. The side effects can disappear over time, just got to give it a chance. Kinda sucks in the mean time.
It’s the meds for me. When I was off meds I was working 12 hr shifts now on meds I’m complete zombie again
Thanks @Mars I’ll keep that in mind. Hopefully it gets better.
And @Rainstorm I hear you. I used to frequently work 10-12 hour shifts no problem. Now though? No way.
How can you tell the difference? I cant.
I came off meds 10 years ago. My functioning and energy etc really went downhill. I’m doing better on meds as far as functioning, energy and motivation is concerned.
Partly meds, partly negative symptoms. The biggest change for me with getting energy back was going the clean eating route. Hard to undestate the difference it made to my quality of life. The exhaustion and listlessness comes back whenever I try to cheat. One Kraft Dinner meal torpedoed me for two days. So tired and the diarrhea was epic because my gut biome has changed and I can’t digest that stuff easily now.
It won’t cure you, I still have hallucinations and delusions I’m constantly having to manage, but it helps when you have more energy for it.
