On 5mg abilify right now, having insomnia and pretty bad GERD with cough
Yesterday was in some delusions (political historical delusions of grandeur), had mild voices briefly responding to my thoughts with short taunts or counter arguments, almost choked on a bell pepper which completely blocked my airway and had a delusion that the Sun was giving me a choice to live or die because I was looking out the front door when it happened… later at night I had a GERD flare up with coughing and agitation and shouting. Bad day basically. Managed to sleep for a few hours and feel a lot better today with no apparent psychotic symptoms or odd thoughts or anything.
This delusional thought is new for me, unlike hearing voice mimicking demon attack or devil’s possession, or delusion of becoming anti-christ which are scarier for me, the Sun never appear in my hallucination or delusion in the past.
When I was on Abilify (Aripiprazole), I took 20mg, its side effects are lower.
Hope you have many good days ahead with new dosage 15mg.
When psychotic in the past the Sun and the moon and clouds and stuff have had an illusory quality where I read much more into them than they are at face value. Sometimes I thought clouds were actually objects that represent “illusory” or conjurable ideas as a way of seeing the Sun and moon…
I can’t explain how the illusion formed, I think it will remain a mystery in brain study for years to come. Just joke, maybe you know too much about science (and history), that your delusion revolves around them – although not necessarily true.
My delusions mostly are religious as I study Bible, and some are about me as alien in human disguise, because my passion about UFO / UAP. Haha.
My head is full of nonsense all the time… I wish I could get interested in something trivial like pokemon or even videogames again but i dont really remember anything specific about videogames like some people do. Prolly wouldnt stop psychosis, but it would definitely make my subthreshold psychotic thinking less important seeming…
Distraction you mean, from your psychotic thinking. Yes, sometimes we all forget enjoying simple things in life. Play video games, or watch movie in cinema, both sound good to me to keep the “brain spinning” (relaxing).
