Saw dr today and slight change in diagnosis

Saw dr today, she said I have sza bipolar type not depressive type, even though my hypomania is very short and with psychosis.

That was another thing - psychosis…she confused me, saying if I know it’s psychosis then I should know my delusions aren’t real. But I said they are, so she said then why do I call it psychosis? I said I only call it psychosis because that’s what the drs call it but to me it’s real. Got her all muddled there lol!

I’m to stay on my normal dose of meds, she wanted to push amisulpride up further from 500-600mg but decided to keep me on 500mg for now because I said I get a slight stiffness and tremor in my hands on 600mg.

It’s a fine line to walk, getting enough meds to manage symptoms, but not so much that debilitating side effects occur.
