Boxing match coming up next week on Netflix. Anybody else going to watch?

Mike Tyson said he blacked out during most of that fight and doesn’t remember most of what happened. Now there’s talk of him fighting Floyd Mayweather.

I grew up watching Mike Tyson and bought his video games. He got me into boxing. When I was 12 and on the occasion we had cable my mom let me order a few pay per view fights. When I got older I watched pay per view boxing at friends houses. But most of my childhood we had no cable. It didn’t matter I played outside mostly. Now, no streaming what to do, yikes? I have a lot of streaming stations now, I’m in most of the time. I don’t like being around people.

I like boxing, but don’t really mentally schedule time to watch it. If it’s on TV while I’m surfing, I’ll watch lol do they still do the Friday night fights on ESPN? Those weren’t bad

My grandpa was a gold glove boxer in the Marines back in the day, around WWII. He passed in 1970, so I never met him. I bet he had some stories

I’ve been a fan of boxing (the sweet science) since the early 1970s, so I saw all of Ali’s fights (15-round fights back then).

My father was a highly-ranked handball player in New York in the 1960s. He played against Jim Jacobs, the GOAT of handball. I mention this because Jacobs was an early trainer to Mike Tyson.

I’ve seen a lot of great fights over the last 55 years, but the one that comes to mind at this moment is the Hagler v Hearns fight in 1985. Boxing fans know that the fighters usually use the first round to find distance, movement, gloves placement, etc. However, that didn’t happen in the aforementioned fight. Check out round ONE:
