Boxing match coming up next week on Netflix. Anybody else going to watch?

Tyson Fury vs. Arslanbek Makhmudov is scheduled for next week on Netflix. I’ve been watching various matches on my new streaming service, but next weekend they have a match on netflix.

I have taken a many year break from really watching boxing but starting to watch it again recently.

Anybody else?

Im not following boxing but did see an ad for wilder v chisora a couple days ago on ps5, did you see that one?

I did. Just got done watching it a few hours ago. It was pretty entertaining but very sloppy. Maybe because of their ages. They both looked very exhausted early on. It went 12 rounds. Wilder won by split decision.

Chisora went through the ropes twice. Several times they pulled or pushed each other over. A couple slips, etc etc.

It was entertaining though.

I’d like to check that one out. The only big fight boxing match I watched in the last few years that I paid for was Tyson Fury vs Wilder 2 I think. The one after the draw. I didn’t watch the 3rd one I think because he beat him so handily the second time. It was a great fight.

I don’t want to buy PPV or subscriptions though.

I accidently wrote split decision instead of draw

I would watch friday night fights when I was in highschool. I was into boxing back then. I lost interest in a lot of things over the years, especially tv related stuff, IDK why, maybe sz, who knows. But boxing is great entertainment. I think the first movie that was shot by thomas edison or someone was of two boxers in a match. He apparently thought it was the epitome of human drama or something.

What was odd about the Chisora vs WIlder fight , was it looked like Wilder had him done for at one point but instead of finishing him off he stopped when he had him in the corner and said “I love you”. or something like that. After the fight, he said he wasnt looking good and he didnt want to hurt him. He said something to the effect of “Too many boxers have been hurt in fights and we have to look out for each other.”

Edit: They both came back to fight on after that , though.

That’s odd for a sanctioned bout. Not really for an exhibition match. I think this was a sanctioned bout, but Wilder knew Chisora wasn’t going to come back in this one. If Wilder thought he was going to get another loss he would have finished him most likely.

I stopped watching boxing around the time the Four Kings retired. I just watch old clips of classic boxers on YouTube if I’m going to watch boxing.
