I was going to get a puppy but now I’m thinking maybe I’m getting a kitten but I don’t know. What do you guys think? Any advices welcome. I have a new apartment and I’m going to be able to share it with a little friend.

I like dogs. But they are higher maintenance than cats…so you know….do you want super freindly but needy or more independent and less work?
Like I said, I recommend a dog but it really depends a bit on your situation

Yeah, I think the dogs are so sweet but cats are mysterious and interesting. I might learn more with a cat.

I have both, a cat and a dog.
Cats are so much easier but they still require work.
Dogs are usually more affectionate.

I used to have cats until my allergies stopped me from being able to have them anymore. Since then I’ve had dogs.
All my cats were very friendly and outgoing and greeted me at the door. They were very affectionate and loved to be with me all the time.
Since then I’ve had dogs and they’re friendly too. The biggest difference is dogs need to be walked / exercised.
Both dogs and cats need to be played with and cared for though. It just depends on what you prefer.

Cats are far less work. I mean they are both work don’t get me wrong but you need to be committed to daily walks if you have a dog. Cats don’t need that. Also they don’t need to leave the house to use the bathroom so no messes. They also usually live a little bit longer and are generally quieter.
Puppies are cute though don’t get me wrong lol, and their pack loyalty is something else, but as a family who lived in apartments growing up we stuck with cats.

i have a cat. love her bunches.
shes my third officially but there were many more. i find cats easy to take care of. they are good comfort and companions.
love dogs always have. never owned one though. they are good friends too.

ive never had a cat before, ive had 3 dogs, my current dog i feel is my soul dog, even tho he rips some gnarly farts. maybe i feel like this dog is the soul dog because ive matured over time and gained experienced and the timing and circumstances of crossing paths with this doggo but i have never felt so much that a dog was a perfect fit. well actually my last dog was a perfect fit too, some would say even moreso, but he chose my mom as his person, i think my current dog i am his person. i think dogs like humans have one person that they are closest with than any other
