It was wrong four days ago over a minor issue I had with my Sodastream machine. I argued back and forth with it a few minutes when it told me something I was 90% sure it was wrong about and it finally admitted I was right. Then two days ago I had what I thought was a minor issue with my iPhone 15 with sending photos to emails. It led me down a path where it grew more and more complicated until finally it told me to reset my entire phone. I grew suspicious and I thought “that can’t be right.”
I called ChatGPT out for almost causing me to make a significant error and it apologized and said I was right to question and it said it shouldn’t have told me to reset my factory settings on my phone. I told it, I forgive you” and it replied I had grace. But yeah, on my phone it had me delete my email account and make a new one and do all kinds of weird stuff. I asked it, “How can I trust you when you have have proven to be wrong before?” It said I was right not to blindly trust it and it was only a tool not an ultimate authority and I was correct to be skeptical of it.
