Closed and cleaned files up until March 20 despite discourse update making it harder

Thats about 40 days with no reply. My goal is to get it back to 30 and maintain there.

Discourse recently made it harder in the new update by making you type in “permanently delete” when you want to delete a file. Fortunately, after the first time, a pop up allows you to autofill that with a click. If it wasnt for that, the new update would have pretty much disabled my ability to delete files with any efficiency.

I have some other site maintenance i need to work on unrelated to file deletions and closing but I am holding off until after this weekend.

Anywho, just felt like posting. I know very few people have interest in these particular types of posts…but I feel compelled to update anyway sometimes when I have completed the days maintenance chores.

Have you ever thought of getting a helper to do this stuff? Maybe someone you can train and trade duties back and forth?

I would have to make them an admin in order to do so.

Why couldn’t we have two admins? A senior admin and a junior admin?

Im not sure of the financial and control issues. I dont know if they would have the same access as I do to my bank account info and financial controls. It’s not something to do lightly.

I dont know if a secondary admin has the same controls as primary once made admin. I would have to look into it and I would have to trust someone implicitly that I only know over the internet. Plus it would have to be someone willing to put in a lot of time.

Yeah, it would save you a lot of time and effort but maybe it’s not practical.
