Like the last 2 years has been a journey on the keto.
Yeah it’s amazing for losing weight if your disciplined and I was on zyprexa a notorious weight gainer but…
So I learned after a good 6 moths I could have cheat days. I could still maintain and even though I ran into a problem a year in with psyiorisis and added some weight I’m doing so much better mentally.
Like. I gained some weight but back to keto/lo carb and living large but I’ve these gains mentally. I’m not bored. But I’m determined. I’m carving out an existence that is cool and I’m out meeting people in a political group and doing meetings and making friends…I have enough friends but it’s nice.
It’s dumb. It really is but glad I listened to my psydoc about it to try it.
Like he got me off cigs with the champix. He got me onto the whole gut biome and keto and just amazed at the gains mentally…Reading books again. Going to meetings. Meeting new people and forming relationships with totally different people outside my usual crowd.
6 months keto. Lowest clinical doses of my meds and it’s been a slow burn but it’s there. It’s not placebo. There’s something there for me and it’s real and now I’m finding I’m dissatisfied with things. I want to improve and that is things like drinking minimisation and just getting goals like travel…
It’s dumb but gawd. If it works it’s frigging so worth the effort. I can attest to that.
