Distancing myself from Facebook for the sake of my mental health

For along time now I have been getting way too much negative stuff. 9/11. Nepal. Political crap and much more.

I have noticed it really makes me stressed and anxious. It seems to be far worse on Facebook than the other platform Reddit which I also use. On Reddit I just get things coming up from groups I’ve joined whereas Facebook I get all sorts.

Hopefully I notice a difference in how I feel and mood. I’m fairly certain I will.

I left facebook like 10 years ago. I haven’t missed it.

It’s a delight not to have it be a factor in my life.

That’s good @Mr_Hope

I don’t think I’ll miss it as it’s depressing me. But I think breaking the habit of doom scrolling will be hard. Simply because it’s a habit.

I use Facebook only to talk to my Corsica friend

I don’t go on it often

I hope it helps you feel better to distance yourself with Facebook

I hope it helps you @Qwerty I think it will.

I stopped looking at Facebook too. I still have my account but just don’t use it. Mainly because people just post about things I don’t have in my life. Makes me feel upset.

My facebook doesn’t reflect politics much. I’m glad you’re distancing yourself from all that stress. It’s just not worth it
