Or do you live paycheck to paycheck?
No I spend too much on food. Need to cut back.
I’m trying to do the same. I’m addicted to eating out.
We have some money saved , yes. But its almost a requirement when you own a house. Have to be prepared for a furnace to go out or a car to break down.
Will be in better financial shape once my wifes condo is sold.
We’ve got two months of income in savings. Trying to get back to three.
I get money at the first of the month and then I’m broke by the 7th. After that I ask my dad for apittance here and there and try to make it by
I have a little in savings but am now almost paycheck to paycheck
I’m very comfortable, have money all during the weeks, eat well… I have been known to have to spend money as my disability benefits don’t go over £6k which is the fresh-hold you can have before your money decreases. I do have a accountant that manages my money at social services so if I see something I like I email him and he sends me the money, Same for when I want to travel to Sri Lanka for a month, I plan everything out, costings etc, he sends me the money. But I have to maintain wellness and take the injection, it’s like a multidisciplinary meeting between my community nurse, supported living manager and deputy when I travel abroad. And if I need a big purchase for a £800 tv it has to be approved and takes about a week of me constantly pestering them to hurry up and approve it.
I have a decent chunk put away in savings. I’m trying to save up for an emergency fund, and anything I save over that can either go towards a new camera or a new guitar. ![]()
I have no savings and am not eligible for a credit card! This was news to me. I also am in debt.
Hugs to you ma’am. ![]()

Cannot believe i am not even eligible to borrow man. Holy smokes.
Have a nice day, buddy.
You have a nice day too, dear. Try not to stress. Take your meds and drink lots of fluids. Remember to rest a lot.
If you were eligible for a credit card, would you have a good plan to pay it off? A source of income? Credit cards can be easily misused. Its not free money like some people think. If you dont pay it off in a certain time period, they will add interest. I only use mine now when I know that as soon as I get home, I can pay it off fully.
I second what @TheCanuk says. Credit cards are not free money.
The only real benefit of having one, I think, is the protection they provide if a purchase goes wrong.
You may then be more likely to get your money back, than if you bought something in cash or by debit card.
Quite a fair bit in multiple accounts and investments.
20$ in cssh….
I have saving in my saving account, I use just the minimum of money for hanging out a bit, sometimes I buy special food for myself but most of my money is saved
