Does anyone drool excessively

I’ve been waking up in pools of drool since starting clozapine anyone else

Totally got that on clozapine. A lot of people do - almost all in fact.

I think there are some meds that can help

Oh man was on the phone till like 4am :scream:

So only got 4 hours sleep. Totally worth it though.

How are you? Feeling any better on the clozapine?

Ah yeah. You are right. They say wait at least 6 weeks when it comes to new meds.

You been getting your bloods done?

It happens to me also, been on Clozapine for over 5 years now and it hasn’t changed… I have some Atropine droplets to dry up the mouth but I am not a fan of fixing one issue with another band-aid. Also tried the towel trick on the pillow. Best of luck!

Hey you’re welcome. It’s a great med don’t let that deter you. When all else has failed, Clozapine was there to save my ass!! :grinning_face:

My doctor prescribed a low dose of hydroxazine(sp?) That at 150mg of clozapine stopped my drooling.

I think I was prescribed Trihexyphenidyl. Stopped my drooling overnight

Yeah, I drooling on clozapine. I also have the atropine drops but am just too lazy to use them. I make sure to wash my pillowcase regularly.

i’m not on clozapine but ever since i started back on my meds in 2025 i have definitely been drooling a lot. not sure what exactly’s causing it…
