I’ve gained 40-50 lbs. I drool every where all night. My fasting glucose is 110. And I pee the bed. All because of clozapine.
I called my pdoc’s nurse and she’ll get back to me.
in your opinion is clozapine worth it for me?

My pdoc had mentioned Cobenfy a long time ago. But that new of a med is scary to me.
Clozapine does help but at what cost?
What meds did you try? Are you treatment resistent to other meds?
I’ve tried a lot yes. Zyprexa works ok but not alone.
Zyprexa is closest to Clozapine…
Of course not alone. At least no drooling and peeing…
I agree. Thanks for the support @anon68822644
No word from nurse. Maybe tomorrow. It’s past the clinic hours now.
Write what you’ve done…
I’m feeling really hopeless. Is life worth it?
Don’t worry, yes it’s worth… In time everything falls into place..
Hell no. Clozaril kept making me go unconscious. And drool too. Talk to your pdoc ASAP. I think it’s a dangerous med.
I drool all over my pillows.
I think it’s worth it
I dropped the 600 mg Clozapine I was on 30 years ago and got upped my Clopixol inj.
For me, Clozapine is the most effective medicine. Risperidone only worked partially and Clopixol gave me OCG. My Olanzapine also had to be increased every three months or so.
No doubt. Clozapine is the only effective antipsychotic that really can help with hard to treat psychosis.
Most of the other antipsychotics do around the same thing but each with their own side effects.
The rate of ratio from clozapine to weight gain is one to one. It increases your appetite, and slows metabolism.
