For me my maternal first cousin is sz.

And then my Father is basically a high functioning schizophrenic, with gang stalking delusions. He is more delusional disorder than schizophrenia.

And my Mom defo had bipolar when I was a boy/teen.

Genetic lottery ay

A cousin of my father has it.

I’m the only one in my family with sza. My sister and one niece were once diagnosed with bipolar but have long been off meds and have no symptoms now. Only I need meds on ongoing basis and been in hospital many times.

My cousin but I’ve never talked to him because he’s violent.

My moms cousins son has severe sz, he talks to figures that others cant see

My dads uncle has some kind of mental issue

My brother has it which is a huge advantage as I don’t question I have it myself because it runs in the family.

I have great insight.

I have two cousins with sz, an aunt with OCD and depression, all my sibs have ADHD, as do I. My other cousin has OCD and bipolart1…, I have one kid who has bipolar 1 with psychosis and ADHD , another kid with Bipolar 1, two more cousins with bipolar, my dad has depression and PTSD. MY LAST KID HAS ADHD and depression and panic attacks.

No one on either side. I have one second cousin with bipolar though.

My grandma on my mom’s side has bipolar and goes on and off meds. She also has grandiose delusions. Also on my mother’s side I had a lovely auntie who’s life was cut short by suicide. She had severe depression and anxiety. On my father’s side I have another auntie whom I never met but she also died by a suicide. And also on my dad’s side I had an uncle who was sz, and also was a Freemason which I find very interesting.

I have no idea

Will say it likely came from my shithead fathers side of the family

Two siblings of my father and some of his cousins have questionable mental difficulties, the two siblings are diagnosed with psychotic illnesses whereas the cousins probably not even diagnosed with anything

No, no schizophrenia in the family, depression runs in the family though. My dads cousin committed suicide in the 1950’s and my grandmother on my moms side spent a year in a psychiatric hospital in the 1950’s. My mom came close to being hospitalized but my dad pulled her out of it. My grandfather had some mental issues; he really loved his wife and when she died he was so upset he tried to throw the doctor who told him out of a second story window. And then he was still so upset he started wandering through his house acting strangely and talking to himself; my dad was a kid at the time the rest of the family had to remove my dad from the house for a month or two until my grandfather got better.
