I had a dream about something mundane. Thanksgiving with my cousin. I used to compare my life quite to my cousin but it’s died down because I worked through last year to get it under control. Anyway, in the dream my mom says:” why are you so worried about her life, live your own life” and I responded “ I don’t care. I’m just bored” which is a contradictory statement because it still means you’re worried about somebody else’s life instead of doing something in that moment to take away your boredom or just sit with it?. I used to think she was lucky but then as I explored I figured out that was really disrespectful because she’s been dancing in competition since she was six and seeking out many opportunities that she got rejected from. She also had a lot of opportunities that she got through building friendships with people which is one of the hardest things you can do as an adult.( She’s a publicist for major music festivals here, and an NBA dancer). I just remember when people used to tell me I was lucky when I got my job and asked me who I knew to get my job and it really left a bad taste in my mouth because I worked so hard. People still say that about my home life, but my parents worked three jobs and my dad had to walk across town for most of his time working to make ends meet. Anyway, I started having feelings of comparison again and I think that is what that dream means.

Dreams are so random and one dream can be open to multiple or many interpretations. I have a lot of realistic dreams that seem to address and solve my problems in real life but on closer examination they don’t make sense or are “off” and really solve nothing. It depends on what you want to believe.

I was thinking that. Sometimes I have dreams that I think would make good movies or I wake up laughing from and it really wasn’t that funny lol
