Hi everyone. This is “HyperactiveNectar”, also BringMeCoffee which was also my username on the previous forum. I see you’ve had an update in forum! New forum, yey,

Long story short, my first psychotic episode happened when I was 16, and I’m 26 now. I left the forum last time because I stopped taking my medication and completely, absolutely rejected the possibility that I might have schizophrenia. I was also taking Concerta, an ADHD medication, which may have contributed to things as well.

Anyway, I experienced a second psychotic episode, and I’m now leaning more toward being on the schizophrenia spectrum after all.

A little bit about me: I work at a clinic as a doctor’s assistant, and I’m still studying journalism. Life is actually going pretty well overall, except that I’m back on medication after almost two years without it. :slight_smile:

It’s really nice to see you all again. I’ve missed many of you.:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Personally ive seen ADHD meds cause severe problems like psychosis and ive heard stories of people getting heart attacks however its rare

In my opinion ADHD meds are dangerous and take it with caution and if the doctor doesnt give a sh!t get a new doctor

Hi hi. Yeah, person has to be careful with Adhd meds. I agree. Still, they helped me in a lot of ways.
