Im actually shocked that med works for ANYBODY i used to call it a BS scam and I believed it i wasn’t just trying at the time to be “ contraversal” or anything

Everyone’s body chemistry is different; that’s why there is more than one AP. What works for you may not work for me, and vice versa. Thus saying a med is garbage and wanting it to be illegal doesn’t make sense to me.

I have schizoaffective disorder, bipolar type. I tried Haldol, and it made me feel terrible, but I’m not going to say that it’s garbage or want to make it illegal

Maybe we can agree on this: It would be great if there was a way to determine what meds will work for us, and what meds will not work for us before we take them.

To my knowledge, there is no way to tell, so it’s trial and error.

I’ve had a pdoc in the psych ward say that they guess based off of symptoms and they don’t know which ones will work

Basically its a guessing game

I mean ADHD meds are not anti psychotics. It’s really impossible to compare them and say because a med didn’t work therefore all meds are bad.

One has to be very cautious taking any kind of ADHD medication when one gets mania as a symptom.

I just got put on 42mg daily Caplyta. So far it is doing well. Even if not fully in my system for symptoms at least no awful side effects so far.

I switched from Cobenfy. And I feel so much better. I don’t really need to nap, I’m actually sleeping and can finally enjoy my morning hot coffee again. I’m thankful. Oh, and no blurry vision. That stuff was scary.
