Today we got some dirt and tried to level off spot in backyard next to house that was accumulating water. Also filled in some small holes in basment with a sealing compound.
Trying to reduce and/or eliminate the puddles on one wall we get in heavy rains. Most of the basement is dry. Just a small portion leaks a bit. If cant get down to a minumum might go the sump pump route.
I hate buying dirt. Was thinking about posting in the recent purchases thread about how I spend 56 dollars on 20 bags of dirt. Yes dirt.
Going to take a nap soon to get up and watch a boxing event at 4:00 am my time. It’s in Austrailia so it starts at like 7pm there, 4am my time.
Just picked up a TooGoodToGo order from Whole Foods. For $9.99 I got a big quiche lorraine and a couple tuna and cranberry wraps. It’s good haul, at most TooGoodToGo restaurants they sit on the site all day or for hours so you get to pick and choose but Whole Foods bags are only up on the site for a few seconds and then they sell out, I timed it perfectly and was lucky and got this bag.
Yes, I think I heard it will probably be in October on Netflix.
Something about Tyson Fury is starting to rub me a bit wrong. To me, he seems to have a much higher opinion of himself than skills warrant.
Maybe its partially the fact that I saw his book and the title claimed he was the best fighter ever or best heavyweight in history or something like that. Lol. I mean cmon, you really think you are better than ALi or Tyson or Holyfield or Lewis.
I mean he beat a Klitchko who had been defending for like 10 years from what I heard to get the title. likely on the decline…and I watched his last fight on netflix…he did well, it was fairly boring, but it was not super impressive like some of the fighters I mentioned matches.
Of course, Ali was kind of like that too…but to me, at least it seemed more warranted.
The thing about Ali was that it wasn’t only himself who thought he was the greatest fighter of all time, many other people including other boxers thought (or think) he was the greatest.
Lots of these professional athletes are sooo full of themselves. Theres a big difference between being confident VS being cocky. I like athletes that say things like “im confident in my abilities but know i have a long way to go. My opponent is very talented. Im going to give every thing I have. I believe in myself.” vs a cocky athlete that says something like “im the best of all time and my opponent doesnt stand a chance. I cant be stopped”
I have no idea how much involvement he had in the book or whatever, but the title is just so absurd. It’s not just the book that rubs me the wrong way about him, though. There are other things.
But ohw well.
I’d much rather see some of these younger more impressive seeming fighters( like Moses Itauma and others) get a chance at the titles, though.
Had a dream last night I was playing age of empires 3 and I was the Dutch and they added a new type of bank which gives more gold and my economy was good but the enemy player kept raiding me and I couldn’t build a barracks so I lost the game even though I had a good economy
