How likely is it that my neighbors are talking about me and laughing about me

I can’t shake it. All the worst things I can think of, I imagine them saying.

It’s definitely in your head man. I worry about my neighbor also. But because he complained about my music. That’s a real concern that I can’t make sounds now without him hearing them. If your neighbors haven’t complained about you, it’s unlikely that they’re taking the time to make fun of you.

It seems to be a common thread - that we all get para about our nieghbours. NO they are not out to harm you - its the disease mate. Its your brain over thinking.

This cropped up alot on the old forums as well.

If you never had a beef with them and you never heard them talking about other people, I would rather think they don’t talk about you

Even if it was true, it’s just a neighbor, not an important person you cherish

If you want to be sure if it’s true try to record the voices and make it listen to someone else so they say to you if they talk about you

You could try to meditate/do breathing exercises/heart coherence with the help of YouTube when you’re anxious because of that

If you’re too overwelmed because of that,maybe you should talk to your doctor

I don’t mean to sound like a psychologist here, but it sounds like you’re “projecting” internal stuff onto your neighbours and making it external.

Unless they’ve actually said something, it’s all your imagination.

I suspect your neighbours are just interested in their own day to day living, like most people.
