I got a post-interview letter from Social Security

They’ve officially decided to continue my disability, so I will not lose benefits.

I was a little worried since I have recovered a bit, but they determined it wasn’t enough to work a full 40 hours. The job I do have is very much part time and falls within their supplemental guidelines.

I had a virtual computer interview with webcam last month, first ever since I started receiving disability 14 years ago. I was very nervous. They said they would check again down the line, but I’m probably good for at least the next 5 years or so. I’m very relieved.

Good to hear. I’ve been on SSDI for five years almost and haven’t heard a word from social security since. Hope that continues

Thanks everyone. If anyone else is on Social Security Disability I highly recommend you keep an eye on your snail mail. I never check it, but my mom did and she caught both the initial notice and the letter that had the virtual appointment link and date/time in it. If I hadn’t noticed those letters before the date passed I’d be in real trouble. So check every letter! Even if you’re signed up to receive e-mail. I was on their e-mail list yet this info only arrived in paper form.
