it said I contacted them for a phone interview from an address I never heard of in social security to discuss my medical insurance possibility which I already have…I think it’s a scam…should I disregard it? I don’t want to try and contact social security…it takes hours.
Disregard. Was this a letter in the mail? If so you should report it to their fraud center

The scams are AI powered these days and are frighteningly good.
I had one yesterday requesting info on a client that looked extremely legit. Turns out it was a highly evolved phishing email and I’m glad I checked with the client first and then reported it instead of opening the file attachment.
