Sounds like synesthesia to me, or is it imagination. Hard to say. Could be a plain old hallucination too, who knows.

I used to hear music and horns playing. I’m glad I don’t hear them anymore. It was just after I got sick.

My mother, next to me, heard nothing.

I heard it in my right ear.

Sounds like a cool experience, so as long you were not bothered by it. I have never experienced something like that, as far as I recall.
