I don’t eat unhealthy so I guess it’s the olanzapine.
They are going to refer me to a regular doc for treating me and the weight I have gained.
They want me to do lifestyle changes which means I have to exercise. I don’t know if they are going to prescribe me something for losing weight but they probably will.
If they mention metformin I will tell them that I don’t want it. It’s hard to gain muscle tissue on metformin.
I just don’t want diabetes. I have to do something about it but I’m so unmotivated on these drugs.
They didn’t want to prescribe me the new meds for treating insomnia. The drug can induce hallucinations which means I would need more ap’s if I take them. I said I don’t want that.
I’m so sick and tired of everything. Insomnia, being fat and constantly tired. Then they want me to exercise? I just can’t put it together.
I’m also concerned about my dad. It’s just too much right now.
Hey @Speedy. I’m sorry you’ve got so much going on. Diabetes is definitely scary, and I can’t blame you for wanting to avoid it and metformin. When my husband was diagnosed with pre-diabetes, he started drinking zero sugar sodas instead of regular ones and now goes on a lot of walks because we got a dog. He lost some weight that way, plus he has great calf muscles now and better endurance when he walks around or goes places. It’s been good for him. He’s not running or anything extreme- just walking. As for me, I use a little elliptical machine so that I don’t have to go outside. I’m not a fan of inclement weather, and that’s a good 66% of the time, so I keep it to indoor activities. I have not had the same luck as my husband, but I am not pre-diabetic. I really wish you well. I hope they can find a solution for you without metformin. I also hope your dad is alright.
I was under the impression that there is a new drug called Lybalvi which is better version of Olanzapine which is available at least some parts of the world.
