I think stopping the progesterone all of a sudden, I gained like 6 pounds on it my weight had been lower this is depressing and frustrating may start it back to keep my weight down I think it could be water weight I don’t think its actual weight gain, but you never know. Just hope the withdrawal bleeding I had from being on it goes away eventually on its own been 16 days since I had bleeding after I stopped it my belly feels bigger and bloated don’t want that either. Anyone on here ever stop taking progesterone and start gaining weight soon after stopping it? Just curious if its progesterone related on keeping my weight down.

I ran out of the meds but it has nothing to do with my weight on me

When I stopped progesterone, my weight didn’t change. It is possible that your weight gain could be from perimenopause itself. That is what I think I am experiencing.

I think it’s the perimenopause causing my weight gain I got back on the progesterone to control my weight seems to be doing the job as long as I stay on it
